About me

My name is Christian, and I’m the engineer behind Passgenau Tech Consulting. For over two decades I’ve built and shipped software for startups and established teams, mostly in Python and Go. I am always looking for the best tool for the job. In the past this meant using IDEs and debuggers, nowadays, AI has become part of the toolbelt. I have a particular interest in security and automation, and I enjoy helping teams ship software that is both secure and maintainable.

Most recently, I have co-founded Detexian, a SaaS security posture management platform, spearheading the software engineering side of the product we were building. This followed positions as head of engineering and lead engineer for two other startups after a career as senior and lead engineer for multiple businesses in various industries.

I have filled many different roles in my career, meaning I can work hands-on as a senior engineer, empower less experienced engineers as a lead engineer, or provide oversight at a higher level as head of engineering or CTO.

I’m pragmatic in my approach. I will take care of what you need, be that just building software, training your existing team or helping you hire good engineers. I am also able to provide advice on software architecture as well as the strengths and weaknesses of different tech stacks. If you want to learn to ship fast and iterate, I can set up an agile process for your team to follow. I called my company Passgenau Tech Consulting because I want to provide what fits without overcomplicating things.
