Software Perth businesses can keep running.

We work with businesses across Australia, Perth included. The work gets judged on one thing here: whether it still runs, and whether your own team can change it, without us in the room.

Start here

Tell us what you are trying to do.

We reply within one business day, and we will say so plainly if the honest answer is that you do not need us.

Or call +61 419 107 150

Every field is required.

  • A codebase your team can change without holding its breath.
  • Training that leaves the knowledge with your people rather than with us.
  • On a plane when a system is failing and the answers are all in the building.
  • Trusted partners for cybersecurity, marketing and hosting, coordinated through one point of contact.
Across Australia

Built so nothing is left depending on us.

We are based in Melbourne and work with clients around the country. Working at a distance taught us to write things down, because you cannot lean on a corridor conversation to fill in the gaps.

An honest read, not a rewrite pitch

Most of the code in a struggling system is usually fine. We would rather tell you which parts those are than sell you a rebuild you do not need.

Handover is most of the work

Tests, documentation, and a structure someone else can follow are not extras on this kind of job. They are the difference between a rescue and a dependency.

On site when it counts

Discovery, and the week after something has gone badly wrong, are both worth a flight west. We would rather sit with the people who know what broke.

Services

Every step, from idea to production.

The whole journey is open to Perth businesses, from working out where AI helps to a system your team runs, and each step is set out in full below. These two matter more at distance than anything else on the list.

Step 1 · Orient

Training in AI use

For companies that want to leverage AI but do not know where to start.

Practical sessions on getting real work out of AI tools and on recognising the failures that look like success. Run on your own tasks and your own constraints. Pairs naturally with the web training for teams who would rather build capability than keep buying hours.

  • A plain-English grounding for everyone involved
  • A shortlist of use cases worth trying in your business
  • Working prompts and workflows for real tasks
  • Ground rules for data, confidentiality, and review

Step 1 · Orient

Fractional CTO

Senior technical leadership part-time: strategy, architecture, hiring.

Part-time technical leadership for a business that needs judgement more than hands. Strategy, architecture, hiring and vendor decisions, with the reasoning written down rather than held in our heads, which matters a good deal more across three time zones than it does across a corridor.

  • A technical strategy tied to the business plan
  • Architecture decisions written down and justified
  • Hiring: role definition, screening, technical interviews
  • A regular, honest view of delivery risk

Step 2 · Prove

Prototyping with AI

Test an idea in days with a working prototype, before committing to a build.

Days rather than quarters, aimed at the assumption most likely to be wrong. At distance the discipline is agreeing beforehand which result would make you stop, so the prototype settles the question instead of quietly becoming the first version of the product.

  • A working prototype real people can try, not a slide deck
  • The riskiest assumption tested first
  • An honest read on whether the idea is worth building
  • A prototype that is thrown away on purpose, or a clear path to production

Turn fuzzy ideas into clear, buildable specs before code.

Interviews with the people doing the work, then a written specification with acceptance criteria. This is the week worth flying west for, because it is usually where the cost is hiding. What you get afterwards is a document you can build from or put out to tender, with us or without us.

  • Stakeholder interviews and a written brief
  • User flows and clear acceptance criteria
  • API and data contracts where relevant
  • A scope that can be estimated and challenged

Custom applications engineered in Python and Go, prototype to production.

Built to be handed over. At distance that is not a nicety: tests, documentation and a structure somebody else can follow are the difference between a delivery and a dependency. Python or Go, increments you can use as they land, and a codebase your team can change without holding its breath.

  • A working application, not a demo
  • Clean, documented, testable code you own
  • Deployment and monitoring set up from day one
  • A handover you can actually pick up

Modern sites shipped fast with AI-accelerated workflows.

A fast, accessible site shipped in weeks. AI handles the drafting and the variations, we handle whether the thing is usable and whether it says what the business means. Set up so your own people publish changes, because waiting on someone two time zones east to edit a paragraph is a poor arrangement. Our marketing partners can help it reach the people it is for.

  • A fast, accessible, responsive site
  • Content you can edit without calling us
  • Analytics and forms wired up
  • Hosting and deployment sorted

A Saleor and Hugo storefront you own outright, with nobody taking a cut of every sale.

Saleor self-hosted with a Hugo storefront, documented and handed over like everything else. The static storefront is a real advantage at distance, since most of the site is files on a CDN rather than an application somebody has to be awake to nurse. Our hosting partners look after the rest day to day. And no platform takes a cut of every order.

  • Saleor running on infrastructure you control, not a tenant on someone else's
  • A Hugo storefront that serves as static files and does not fall over on your biggest day
  • Catalogue, customers and orders in a database you can query, export and back up yourself
  • Payments, tax, shipping and fulfilment wired to the providers you already use

Step 5 · Secure

Security automation

Security insight and processes automated across every system you run, not only the delivery pipeline.

Checks that run without anyone having to remember them: dependency and secret scanning, hardened builds, patching, backups you have actually tested restoring from, and access that expires when people leave. Evidence accumulates on its own, which is the only version of this that survives a busy quarter. Beyond that, your SaaS, cloud and identity data pulled together into the few findings worth acting on, and a formal assessment from our cybersecurity partners when you need one.

  • Security data from your SaaS apps, cloud accounts and identity provider pulled together in one place
  • The few findings worth acting on, rather than a dashboard of everything
  • On- and offboarding automated, so access starts on day one and ends on the last
  • Dependency, secret and container scanning and hardened builds in your pipeline

Hands-on upskilling across the modern web stack.

The service that matters most at distance. Hands-on days on TypeScript, React, testing, accessibility and deployment, run against your own codebase, so the knowledge ends up in Perth rather than in Melbourne. A team that can ship confidently on its own is the actual deliverable.

  • Sessions built around your codebase
  • Exercises you keep afterwards
  • Written notes and reference material
  • Follow-up time for questions once it lands

When the AI-built prototype breaks in production, we stabilise it, refactor it, and make it maintainable.

The job where we get on a plane. A prototype went to production, and somewhere around the third outage it becomes clear that the thing now holding the business together was never meant to leave a laptop. Stop the bleeding, then an honest read on what to keep, then the tests and structure that end the gambling.

  • The immediate failures diagnosed and fixed
  • A blunt assessment of what to keep and what to rewrite
  • Tests, structure, and dependency hygiene
  • A codebase you can change without fear

Malware removed, the way in closed, and the site hardened so it does not happen twice.

Almost entirely remote, and fast, because the clock matters here more than the geography does. Malware and backdoors out, rogue accounts removed, the entry point found and closed, then updates, backups and monitoring, so you hear about the next attempt from a machine rather than from a customer. If the hosting needs replacing too, our hosting partners take that on.

  • The site cleaned and serving what it is supposed to serve
  • The entry point found and closed, not just the symptoms removed
  • Backdoors, injected pages and rogue accounts cleared out
  • Updates, backups and monitoring set up so it does not recur
More on hacked website recovery

A prototype gets built in a fortnight, it demonstrates well, and nobody ever actually decides to make it the product. It simply becomes the product. Then it goes to production, and somewhere around the third outage it turns out the thing now holding the business together was never meant to leave a laptop.

Rescuing vibe-coded software is that specific job: stop the outages and the data loss first, then an honest read on what is worth keeping and what should be rewritten, then the tests and the structure that stop every change being a gamble. Distance makes the second half of that more important rather than less, which is also why we run training in AI use and the modern web. A team that can ship confidently on its own is the actual deliverable.

Everything else is downstream of that. If a build is genuinely needed, bespoke software is the job, but the requirements come first, because a brief that two people read differently is the most expensive document in the project. If it is not yet clear that anything should be built, a prototype answers that faster than a business case will. If the gap is judgement rather than hands, part-time technical leadership covers it. And the two that tend to arrive uninvited are security work, once a customer starts asking, and the site itself, once somebody outside the company mentions it.

Two of them do not wait to be scheduled. A hacked site needs somebody on it the same day, which is remote work and none the worse for it. And self-hosted ecommerce on Saleor and Hugo suits a business a long way from its engineers rather well, because a storefront generated as static files is not something anyone has to be awake to nurse.
